Former GUNS N' ROSES Members Deny Having Chosen Singer For New Band

October 14, 2002

Contrary to previous reports, NEUROTICA frontman Kelly Shaefer has NOT yet been officially selected to front the new band featuring former GUNS N' ROSES members Slash (guitar),Duff McKagan (bass) and Matt Sorum (drums). Although Shaefer recently put down lead vocals over two instrumental songs submitted to him by the GN'R alumni as part of his audition, the band are continuing to sift through tapes and try out prospective singers, with Shaefer himself allegedly scheduled to fly out to Los Angeles at the end of the month to jam and hang out with the group. An official announcement on the identity of the singer for the as-yet-unnamed project is not expected to arrive for several weeks.

In other news, Britain's Total Guitar magazine has posted a lengthy interview with Slash at this location.
